Transfer of devices and equipment (heart-lung-machine, echo device and so on) to the Cardiac Institute, Kabul, Afghanistan by the Caspian Container Company. Value of goods: 600’000 US$

Ukrainian Children’s Cardiac Center, Kiev, Ukraine: interventional Cardiology. 78 invasive, cardiological procedures und 58 Consultations

May 3 – 6:

Guest lecture at the 100^th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, Baku, Azerbaijan.
Topic: «Challenges of paediatric cardiac surgery in developing countries”

Mai 7 to 14:

Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam: People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. Faculty Member and Presentation: “Benefits of international cooperation in cardiac surgery”.
40 patients consulted. Mission to several hospitals: „Heart Institute Alain Carpentier“; „People’s Hospital 115“; “Department of Cardiac Surgery, Cho Ray Hospital” and the Department of Cardiac Surgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

May 18:

Novgorod, Russia. Charity-Event: piano concert under the patronage of EurAsia Heart Foundation. Pianist: Ekaterina Marchenko plays Rachmaninov

Qarshi + Tashkent, Uzbekistan: 28 patients operated, 64 consulted. 5 presentations at the Annual Meeting of the Uzbek Society of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. Presentation at the 30-year Anniversary of the Foundation Sog’lom avlod uchun (Healthy Generation); EurAsia Heart Foundation Faculty Member, Co-Organizer and Presenter

October 26:

Presentation at the TCT-College in San Francisco: Heart Point Global: pulmonary flow restriction stent. 1. prize in der Shark Tank Competition.

October 31 – November 4:

Tashkent, Uzbekistan: 3-day educational Course in anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, perfusion and echocardiography with several presentations. 34 patients consulted

November 14 – 17:
